4-star LB target Riley Pettijohn will be visiting the Noles in March
FSU football will be conducting their practices this spring where a variety of recruits will have the opportunity to view how everything is run. The Seminoles are looking to build upon their successful 2023 season where they secured an undefeated regular season and a conference championship.
Heading into the 2024 season, it has got prospects excited about the future of the program. Florida State has a solid foundation for its 2025 recruiting class where it has secured the commitments of five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., four-star defensive end Javion Hilson, and four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard.
The coaching staff understands that it is far from finished with making the 2025 class an elite one. As we alluded to in an article about the most important positions to focus on in this cycle, fans seem to continue to mention the linebacker position.
It makes perfect sense considering that veterans Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune have finished their time in the garnet and gold. As a result, the Seminoles are having to rely upon inexperienced players to make contributions.
There are talented pieces in the room. However, it is always wise to solidify as much depth as you possibly can. It is worth mentioning that four-star Ethan Pritchard is a very skilled prospect that would be vital for the Seminoles if they can sign him.
However, Florida State cannot exit the Early Signing Period by only signing Pritchard in their recruiting class. They likely need one or two more prospects for the position.
One target to monitor closely is four-star Riley Pettijohn from McKinney (TX) informed On3 National Recruiting Analyst Sam Spiegelman that he will be visiting Florida State on March 23rd.
This will be a busy spring for the talented linebacker prospect. However, it is great to see that Florida State is making an effort to try and secure its services.
