4-star LB target is set to make his decision on July 1st
Florida State football's coaching staff hosted several prospects on campus this weekend for official visits in Tallahassee. The Seminoles' recruiting class for the 2025 cycle has not generated much momentum in the last few months.
However, that notion could all change with one prospect announcing their intentions to pledge to the university. Florida State's football team has a combined 23-4 record over the past two seasons so the Seminoles have the on-field product unlike other teams (*cough* Miami and Florida *cough*).
Florida State ranks in the 60's regarding 247Sports Composite rankings. That is not where the fan base wants to be when the Early Signing Period comes around in December. The program does have four prospects committed to their class in quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, defensive end Javion Hilson, and linebacker Ethan Pritchard.
Speaking of Pritchard, the Seminole fan base has been critical when it comes to recruiting the linebacker position. However, the four-star prospect is considered one of the best recruits at his position.
Florida State and linebackers coach Randy Shannon are attempting to get at least two linebacker prospects this cycle. We already mentioned in a previous article that four-star Tavion Wallace is a prospect that Seminole fans should be monitoring for as he has crystal ball predictions in favor of the university.
The Seminoles hosted four-star linebacker target Zaydrius Rainey-Sale from Bethel High School in Spanaway, Washington this weekend for an official visit. Interestingly enough, Rainey-Sale received crystal ball predictions from Florida State at one time but ultimately decided to commit to the home-state Washington Huskies.
With Washington head football coach Kalen DeBoer taking the job at Alabama, the talented linebacker decided to back off of his pledge with the Huskies.
After his official visit with Florida State, he told a variety of media members that he would be announcing his commitment between the likes of Florida State, Washington, and UCLA on July 1st. Rainey-Sale is scheduled to officially visiting the Huskies next weekend.
While it might be difficult to sway Rainey-Sale from staying closer to home, the Seminoles have given themselves a very good shot to land the talented linebacker.
