Florida State currently has one offensive lineman prospect committed to their 2025 recruiting cycle in five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida.

While Thomas is a talented option, offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins understands that he needs to continue bringing in talented options for the position room. There are a few targets on the board at this time. However, one option could be emerging higher on their list.

One name to monitor going forward is Class of 2025 four-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph from Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. The talented offensive lineman has been committed to the arch-rival Florida Gators since February.

It is worth mentioning that his pledge remains to be open as he continues to take trips to Tallahassee. The top-150 prospect recently conducted a multi-day visit to Florida State to watch their practices on Tuesday and Thursday of this week.

In terms of news, that is massive considering that Joseph is utilizing an unofficial visit on his own dime to visit the campus. I expect Florida State to continue to push for his services as the Florida Gators are heading into a pivotal season under the guidance of head football coach Billy Napier.

Their month of November slate in the 2024 season is very difficult since it includes teams such as Georgia, Texas, LSU, Ole Miss, and Florida State (no, that is not a typo). It could be very hard to fathom the fact that Napier sticks around in Gainesville if they end up not winning any of those games.

However, recruiting is very unpredictable and comes with so many ebbs and flows. Disclaimer, former five-star defensive lineman target LJ McCray from last recruiting cycle decided to remain firm with the Gators even after they did not make a bowl game and got a new position coach so Joseph could decide to stick it out with the program.

Nonetheless, Atkins has some options at his disposal and could be setting up nicely for the program to have a solid offensive line recruiting haul.
