4-star IOL target Dontrell Glover includes Noles in his top four schools list

Florida State football has only secured one commitment on their offensive line in five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida. The Seminoles have their quarterback of the future with four-star Tramell Jones Jr. from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jones Jr. needs protection to be successful in the offense. As most individuals know, elite programs prioritize the trenches. Offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has showcased his recruiting prowess with securing talent at the position.

Atkins is classified as one of the best recruiters on the coaching staff because of the way that he relates to recruits and transfers in the portal. However, one main concern that some of the fan base is having is that he struggles to place recruits in his rotations and often relies heavily in the transfer portal.

The only recruit that he has placed in the starting rotation during his time in Tallahassee has been former three-star prospect Robert Scott Jr. from the 2020 recruiting cycle. He has been pivotal to the Seminoles' success. However, Scott Jr. has dealt with a sense of adversity after being out for the entire spring with an injury.

The 2025 recruiting cycle will be one to monitor since players such as Robert Scott Jr., Darius Washington, Maurice Smith, Jeremiah Byers, and Richie Leonard IV (among others) will be graduating after the 2024 season. That means that Atkins will have to recruit at a high level.

On Tuesday afternoon, Class of 2025 four-star interior offensive lineman Dontrell Glover from Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia included Florida State in his top four schools list.

Glover will be officially visiting Florida State on the weekend of June 21st. The talented offensive lineman named the Seminoles a top school in his recruitment after he de-committed from the Alabama Crimson Tide after head football coach Nick Saban retired.

This is a perfect opportunity to load up on the offensive line for their 2025 recruiting class.
