Florida State currently has one offensive lineman committed to their 2025 recruiting class in five-star prospect Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida.

However, that is bound to change as the Seminoles will have to replace the likes of veterans such as Darius Washington, Robert Scott Jr., Maurice Smith, Keiondre Jones, Jeremiah Byers, Richie Leonard IV, and potentially TJ Ferguson after the 2024 season.

One prospect that should be monitored is four-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph from Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. He was previously committed to the arch-rival Florida Gators.

It is an interesting situation since the Seminoles have picked up their pursuit of the Georgia native as he recently took a multi-day unofficial visit to Tallahassee. It should also be noted that his cousin is current offensive lineman TJ Ferguson.

Ironically enough, Rivals posted on their social media accounts about Peyton Joseph wearing a Florida State chain during a camp event. He has received crystal ball predictions in favor of the Seminoles. This presents the following question: Will Florida State get its first commitment since January?

Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has essentially changed the narrative of the Seminoles' offensive line unit since he arrived in Tallahassee.

However, one of his biggest flaws as an assistant coach from certain individuals is the fact that none of the prospects that he has recruited as high school prospects (besides Robert Scott Jr.) have contributed to the rotation. There has been a heavy emphasis on transfer portal acquisitions.

As it stands, I believe the 2025 campaign will be a true test of what the Seminoles are made of on the offensive line. Will players such as Julian Armella, Jaylen Early, Bryson Estes, Lucas Simmons, and Andre Otto be able to crack the rotation and further their developments?
