4-star defensive tackle target includes Noles in top schools list
Florida State football is ranked outside the top 40 in their 2025 recruiting class. The Seminoles do have four commitments in the fold with five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., four-star defensive end Javion Hilson, and four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard.
In terms of uncommitted prospects, four-star defensive tackle target Myron Charles from Port Charlotte, Florida has been a major priority for the Seminoles.
On Sunday afternoon, the talented defender released his top six schools list which included teams such as Florida State, Miami, Florida, Texas, Ohio State, and Georgia.
Charles will have a busy official visit schedule where he is taking trips to Florida (May 31), Miami (June 14), and Florida State (June 21). The Florida native looks to be saving the best for last as he has taken trips to Tallahassee on multiple occasions.
During an unofficial visit with the Seminoles, the defensive tackle named Florida State a top school in his recruitment. It is easy to see why the Seminoles are huge in his recruitment given how productive players such as Braden Fiske and Joshua Farmer were last year.
Defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins is one of the best defensive tackles coaches in the country in terms of developing players to the professional ranks. Haggins has been a staple figure on the Seminoles' assistant coaching staff.
Charles has already had predictions in favor of the Seminoles. The program has not landed a defensive tackle prospect this cycle. It seems like him as well as four-star Jalen Wiggins are the top priorities at the position. If Florida State were to get both of them, it could be a scary dynamic duo in the trenches.
Recruiting is ever-changing with teenagers making one of the hardest decisions in their lifetimes. However, this is a prospect that the Seminoles cannot afford to miss on.
