3 younger players on the Seminoles' roster that could make a difference in 2024
OL ANDRE OTTO
Florida State has a veteran-led offensive line position group where the Seminoles have pieces such as Darius Washington, Robert Scott Jr., Maurice Smith, Keiondre Jones, Jeremiah Byers, Richie Leonard IV, and TJ Ferguson.
Offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has made an effort to change the narrative of the offensive line play in Tallahassee. Before Atkins was hired, Florida State was regarded as one of the worst offensive line units in all of college football.
Atkins has consistently been a relentless recruiter and he relates well with high school recruits and transfer portal prospects. Unfortunately, we have not seen that amount to much when it comes to playing the players that he recruited in high school on the rotation.
This could finally be the year that we see that come to fruition. Former Class of 2023 three-star prospect Andre Otto has been working all over the offensive line at tackle, guard, and center. Darius Washington is already a Swiss Army Knife for them but he is a senior.
Otto looks to be a reserve who can come in and play any position if/when there is an injury. I think he will be beneficial to the Seminoles this season.
