3 true freshman players that should play on the Seminoles' offense
TE AMAREE WILLIAMS
Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell has always valued what the tight end position means to the offense where they line up as in-line blocker, in-line receiver, in the slot, on the outside, and in the backfield.
Kyle Morlock has been severely underwhelming with his high amount of drops. It all comes down to him putting past mistakes and focusing on the next play. However, it does not seem that he can get out of his way right now.
Florida State had Jaheim Bell at tight end in 2023. However, Bell navigated to the NFL where the New England Patriots drafted him. He brought a different dimension to the offense where he was also able to line up out of the backfield as a receiver and a rusher.
The offense needs some kind of spark. Veterans such as Brian Courtney and Jackson West have appeared in games to help with blocking. It is worth noting that both options are not receiving threats.
They have tried to insert true freshman Landen Thomas into the lineup at times. The former five-star prospect is someone that the coaching staff is high on. I would also like to see fellow true freshman Amaree Williams.
Williams was a former four-star prospect from the 2025 cycle who reclassified to the 2024 class. He was recruited as a defensive end, but the coaching staff thought that they could switch them to tight end, at least this season, while his body is growing and developing. The talented youngster was a talk in fall camp with his positive play where Mike Norvell even said that he could help the team win.
I just wonder when Williams would be given an opportunity.
