DE SIONE LOLOHEA

Florida State fans often talk about former Georgia defensive end Marvin Jones Jr. It is understandable considering that his father (Marvin "Shade Tree" Jones Sr.) played linebacker for the Seminoles in the 1990s.

Jones Jr. has a ton of lofty expectations given his father's legendary status with the Seminoles. The talented junior defensive end did not have that much of an impact during his two seasons with the Bulldogs. However, he now has the opportunity to do so with Florida State.

One acquisition that is not being talked about enough at Jones Jr's same position is former Oregon State transfer Sione Lolohea. The talented pass rusher had a successful 2023 season with the Beavers where he recorded 47 tackles (8.5 for loss) and 1.5 sacks.

Lolohea is likely to split playing time with Jones Jr. and Payton at the defensive end position. Position coach John Papuchis will have fun with the group even with a player of Jared Verse's caliber heading to the NFL.
