3 thoughts after head football coach Mike Norvell speaks to media on Tuesday
OL BRYSON ESTES GREAT SPRING SHOWING
Florida State's offensive line is filled with many veterans such as Maurice Smith, Darius Washington, Jeremiah Byers, Keiondre Jones, and Robert Scott Jr. Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has veteran pieces to help him this season.
However, one player that fans might forget about is interior offensive lineman Bryson Estes. Norvell was asked during the media session if anyone had stood out during the spring practices. He went out of his way to mention that Estes has "had a hell of a spring". He also stated that he is playing his best football since he had been there where he is displaying confidence and playing with speed.
That is huge in terms of his development. I think that he could seriously be considered as a rotational piece in the position unit if he keeps showcasing his talent. The Seminoles are having to replace two starting offensive guards such as Casey Roddick and D'Mitri Emmanuel.
I know that the coaching staff moved offensive lineman Julian Armella over to offensive guard, but the competition for starting offensive guard reps should be high.
