CONSTRUCTION OF DOAK CAMPBELL STADIUM

Doak Campbell is one of the more iconic stadiums in all of college football. However, in today's landscape, fans want comfort when witnessing a game for over three hours. While I am not on either side of the fence, I get both perspectives.

I also see many fans getting upset with the renovations due to the entire home side will be taken down during this season and will reduce capacity to around 70,000 fans. Doak Campbell Stadium will be at a bit of a home field disadvantage as the construction crew will be working on it throughout the season in preparation to have it ready for the 2025 opener versus the Alabama Crimson Tide.

While it might be an eye-sore to look at right now, the Spring Showcase will allow fans to see the progress that they have made. Plus, they can envision how the project will go into effect. While they will have temporary seating on the home side for the upcoming campaign, it will look different next season.

All in all, Doak Campbell Stadium will still be rocking on Saturdays regardless if 50,000 or 70,000 fans are in there.
