LB DEMARCO WARD

Florida State has to find viable options in the linebacker position group after veterans Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune graduate after the 2023 season.

The only veteran with a ton of collegiate experience who is returning for the 2024 season is redshirt senior DJ Lundy. Originally, Lundy entered the transfer portal and committed to Deion Sanders and Colorado before he announced that he would be returning to Tallahassee for his senior season.

While I do believe other options such as Omar Graham Jr., Shawn Murphy, Justin Cryer, and Blake Nichelson will be successful in the defense. I think that an underrated selection who meaningful snaps could be redshirt freshman DeMarco Ward.

Ward only appeared in two games during the 2023 campaign. However, the former three-star prospect will be looking to make a difference as linebackers coach Randy Shannon will surely get the most out of his players in a position room that is searching for answers.
