FIVE-STAR OT JOSH PETTY

There is nothing like acquiring a five-star talent at a position of need. Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive lineman coach Alex Atkins has been classified as the Seminoles' best recruiter on the coaching staff.

He expects so much from his players. The one downside that rival coaches are harping on with Atkins is that he utilizes transfers mostly in his rotations. However, that could change after this season as veterans Robert Scott Jr., Darius Washington, Maurice Smith, Richie Leonard IV, Jeremiah Byers, Keiondre Jones, and Jacob Rizy.

This is a pivotal point for the offensive line. The trenches are vital if programs want to be successful in terms of capturing national championships. They need to continue to acquire talent via the recruiting ranks. One prospect that the Seminoles sit in a good position for is five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty from Fellowship Christian School in Roswell, Georgia.

Petty will be officially visiting Florida State during their massive June 21st weekend where numerous prospects will take a trip to Tallahassee. For reference, Petty's sister will attend school in Tallahassee this fall. That should be a high comfort level for Petty and his family.
