RESURRECTION OF THE SEMINOLES' DEFENSE

Florida State's defense had a poor showing versus Georgia Tech and Boston College. However, they followed it up with two solid performances against Memphis and California. While I am not suggesting that they are a top-ten defensive unit in the country, I believe that they did enough to be 2-0 through the stretch.

Defensive players talked after the post-game conference of the California win and stated how defensive coordinator Adam Fuller scraped a lot of their complex defensive coverages and kept it simple where they could pin their ears back.

I already wrote recently that the defensive line showed out against the Golden Bears where they recorded seven sacks and twelve tackles for loss. It helps that the Seminoles have had help from their young players such as defensive backs Edwin Joseph and Quindarrius Jones.

The defense is starting to catch their groove at the right time. Fans are starting to notice they are a strength after they allowed 410 total yards versus California and 337 total yards against Memphis.
