Florida State football takes on SMU this weekend on the road at 7:00 PM EST on the ACC Network. The Seminoles are coming off a massive victory last Saturday versus California by a score of 14-9. It wasn't pretty but they did what they had to do as the team got their first victory of the season.

Head football coach Mike Norvell and his coaching staff is trying to do its best with instilling confidence in a squad that finished with an undefeated regular season and a conference championship last year. Vegas had Florida State's preseason over/under win total at 9.5 (which already hit the under through first three games).

With all that being said, I want to highlight to three reasons why taking the Florida State as a 6-point underdog against the spread versus SMU could be a smart play.
