3. DEFENSIVE LINE PRODUCTION

Florida State football will have to make ends meet as the Seminoles will not have the services of Jared Verse, Braden Fiske, Malcolm Ray, Fabien Lovett Sr., Ayobami Tifase, and Gilber Edmond in the 2024 season.

Most specifically, Verse and Fiske (who were both selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2024 NFL Draft) wreaked havoc on opposing offensive lines during the contests versus Florida and Louisville.

it will be difficult to replace defensive linemen who made their presence felt. Great defensive trenches equal success within the overall team. It is great to know that defensive ends coach John Papuchis and defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins are two phenomenal developers.

Plus, the Seminoles added transfers such as Georgia's Marvin Jones Jr., Oregon State's Sione Lolohea, West Virginia's Tomiwa Durojaiye, and Colorado State's Grady Kelly.

Fans always have to remember that Patrick Payton returns for another season where he is looking to have double-digit sack totals after improving his skill set every year. Plus, Payton is now listed at 254 pounds which could help him generate pressure on the opposing quarterbacks. Overall, I believe that the defensive line will be more than fine.
