Florida State football had a very successful 2023 campaign where it accomplished an undefeated regular season and a conference championship. However, the fan base will probably never get over what transpired in December when the College Football Playoff committee excluded them from competing for a national championship (and that is okay).

It is fair to feel that way towards the College Football Playoff Committee, ESPN (more specifically Kirk Herbstreit and Greg McElroy), and the ACC as a whole. However, at some point, we have to find a way to turn the page and learn from what happened.

The Seminoles have their own set of problems heading into the 2024 season where they only have 56% of their returning production from a squad that was so successful last year. However, head football coach Mike Norvell wants to achieve sustainable success for his program.
