3 players who don't get the attention they need for the Noles heading into 2024
CB JA'BRIL RAWLS
Veterans Jarrian Jones, Renardo Green, and Akeem Dent will have to be replaced in the Seminoles' secondary for the 2024 season. It will be a difficult task as defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. looks to find viable options to play in the rotation.
It looks like returning contributors Azareye'h Thomas and Fentrell Cypress II will be the outside cornerbacks. It helps that defensive coordinator Adam Fuller utilizes a 4-2-5 scheme where multiple players at the position are staying fresh.
One player who is surprisingly starting to emerge thus far through spring practice with "Mission Takeaways" (which are graphics that are posted on social media to award players who generate turnovers for the defense) is redshirt freshman cornerback Ja'Bril Rawls.
Rawls was a three-star prospect from Pensacola, Florida and the Seminoles secured his signing from the 2023 class. Fans thought that the defensive back was solid but did not know what to expect with his ranking. However, he has started to carve a role for himself in the secondary.
