Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell emphasizes the importance of the special teams aspect. Elite programs focus on all three phases of the game- offense, defense, and special teams. The Seminoles are continuing to try and showcase their sustainable success.

The Seminoles utilized former Oregon wide receiver transfer Micah Pittman, who decided to leave Florida State after one season to Utah, as a punt returner in 2022. Then Florida State turned to yet another transfer in Michigan State wide receiver Keon Coleman, who declared for the NFL Draft, in the 2023 season.

The Seminoles know that they need another option for the 2024 campaign as the coaching staff understands how important it is to give its offense a great field position to start its drive after the defense gives them a much-needed stop.
