3 players to monitor for the Seminoles' 2024 football Spring Showcase

Just like we discussed with Jones Jr., the Florida State Seminoles missed out on another prospect in the 2022 recruiting cycle the first time around with former five-star cornerback Earl Little Jr. The former American Heritage High School standout did not play much with the Alabama Crimson Tide. As a result, he elected to transfer to Florida State.

Defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. had a previous relationship with Little Jr. since he was formerly the head football coach at the high school. The Seminoles love to utilize a multitude of defensive backs in their 4-2-5 scheme.

While Little Jr. was listed as a cornerback with the Crimson Tide, I could see the talented defender being used all over the field. His length will make him very versatile in this defense. The Seminoles are having to replace pieces such as Akeem Dent, Jarrian Jones, and Renardo Green in 2024.

As a result, I do not believe that the coaching staff will put a ceiling on what Little Jr. can do for this defense.
