QB DJ UIAGALELEI

Florida State will have massive shoes to fill this upcoming season as signal-caller Jordan Travis is no longer with the program. Fans will have to take some time to get used to that.

Travis meant everything to this university in terms of bringing the necessary culture back to a proud program that temporarily struggled with inconsistencies. It was a shame that the former Louisville transfer was never able to have an opportunity to compete for a championship.

However, I know that the West Palm Beach native is strong in his ability to battle through when adversity hits. Florida State's coaching staff elected to bring on former Clemson and Oregon State quarterback transfer DJ Uiagalelei to bridge the gap with the younger options on the roster such as Brock Glenn, Luke Kromenhoek, and Trever Jackson.

While one of the other three options could emerge as a starter this season, Uiagalelei looks poised for the opportunity in front of him. It was a mixed bag when evaluating his performance during the Seminoles' Spring Showcase. However, he will have a whole offseason to get acclimated to Tallahassee.

I believe that Uiagalelei will have the opportunity to prove the doubters wrong during the 2024 season if he pieces everything together.
