3 players that I am excited to see during the Seminoles' second week of spring practice

We all understand that the linebacker position will be very important for the Florida State Seminoles in 2024, especially considering that veterans Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune exceed their eligibility.

Luckily, redshirt senior DJ Lundy elected to return for his final season in Tallahassee instead of transferring to Colorado. That helps the depth of the room. However, other contributors have to step up. Other options include Omar Graham Jr., Blake Nichelson, Justin Cryer, and Shawn Murphy.

Florida State was able to pick up four-star linebacker prospect Blake Nichelson in the 2023 recruiting cycle. This was an excellent addition to their roster as linebackers coach Randy Shannon is a tremendous developer of the players at his position.

Overall, a linebacker has to step up alongside Lundy. Florida State generally runs a 4-2-5 defense where it only utilizes two linebackers in their scheme. They could benefit from having three to effectively stop the run.

This should be Nichelson's time to shine with a year of development under his belt. This could be a breakout player for the Seminoles in 2024 if given the opportunity.
