OL DARIUS WASHINGTON

The offensive line position group does not get talked about enough since they are not the ones scoring touchdowns. However, a great foundation of an elite program includes the offensive and defensive trenches.

The Seminoles have several veterans on this offensive line such as Maurice Smith, Robert Scott Jr., Keiondre Jones, Richie Leonard IV, and Darius Washington. Speaking of Washington, he is a very versatile piece that can play all over the offensive line.

Washington's health will be vital to keep the Seminoles' offensive line unit in tact. He can play offensive tackle and interior offensive lineman (most importantly snapping the football). Offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins spoke to the media recently where he said that Washington will play anywhere that you tell him to play.

Atkins has a plan in place to have eight guys in the rotation that he trusts. It is also important to realize that offensive line injuries happen from time to time so the Seminoles have to be ready for the worst case scenarios.
