QB DJ UIAGALELEI

It was obvious that I had to begin with the quarterback position. The signal-caller is referred to as the leader of the team. Florida State's coaching staff elected to bring in a veteran bridge quarterback transfer to help develop and bring along younger options on the roster such as Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek.

Throughout the offseason, DJ Uiagalelei and Cameron Ward were the two options that they were exploring. However, after Ward decided to go to the NFL and then picked to stay in college and transfer to the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes, the Seminoles decided to acquire former Clemson and Oregon State quarterback transfer DJ Uiagalelei.

While Uiagalelei is not the most dynamic option that Florida State could've got, he is an experienced option who has the ability to push the football down the field and limit turnovers that cause his offense to take a step back.

Uiagalelei threw for 5,159 yards and 43 touchdowns with only 14 interceptions in his last two seasons with the Tigers and Beavers. That is more than serviceable to run a Mike Norvell led offense.
