3 players on the Seminoles' roster that need a breakout in fall camp
WR HYKEEM WILLIAMS
As I alluded to earlier, wide receivers Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson are no longer with the Florida State football team as they started their journies in the NFL. Who could blame them though?
The big-bodied playmakers made it easier for quarterback Jordan Travis as he often threw it up in critical moments where he exhibited a high level of trust in these pass catchers.
However, the 2024 season could be different as the coaching staff acquired Malik Benson (Alabama) and Jalen Brown (LSU) via the transfer portal. Both of these wide receivers are getting the bulk of the discussion given that Benson could be the number one option in the offense.
I would suggest not discounting the likes of sophomore wide receiver Hykeem Williams. The former five-star prospect has showcased flashes of being something special. However, the former Stranahan High School standout had under 100 yards and one touchdown last season and struggled with injuries.
Fans thought that he would have shown up in the spring showcase, but Williams barely made any contributions besides blocking (which is an important aspect). This is a big fall camp for Williams as he looks to be part of the rotation.
