DE PATRICK PAYTON

Florida State is having to replace the likes of Jared Verse, Braden Fiske, and Fabien Lovett Sr. on its defensive line. The Seminoles had those contributors make an impact on the biggest stages such as the 2023 ACC Championship Game versus Louisville.

The Seminoles added Georgia's Marvin Jones Jr., Oregon State's Sione Lolohea, Colorado State's Grady Kelly, and West Virginia's Tomiwa Durojaiye.

Marvin Jones Jr. had his best outing as a Seminole during the victory versus California. Much of the conversation has centered around the transfer. However, one player that has been there for a while, Patrick Payton, has made an impact on the field as well.

Payton recorded five total tackles and three sacks in the win. The former four-star prospect gain the necessary weight to establish the run and be a more impactful pass rusher.

I hope Payton continues to get more and more predictions.
