DOMINANT DEFENSIVE LINE

I know that it could be crazy to say that the Florida State Seminoles' defensive line could be considered "dominant" in 2024 after they have to replace NFL-caliber talent such as defensive end Jared Verse and defensive tackles Braden Fiske and Fabien Lovett Sr.

However, the Seminoles did a phenomenal job of acquiring talent via the transfer portal where they picked up Georgia's Marvin Jones Jr., Oregon State's Sione Lolohea, West Virginia's Tomiwa Durojaiye, and Colorado State's Grady Kelly.

That is not to mention that they return redshirt junior defensive end Patrick Payton who has twelve combined sacks in the past two seasons and could be in line to get a double-digit sack total in 2024. Defensive end coach John Papuchis and defensive tackle coach Odell Haggins could be salivating over the talent they have in their rooms.

While they are not household names yet, I do believe that the defensive line has a chance to be the best position group on the team for the upcoming season.
