2024 NFL Combine: 5 FSU players that could improve their stock with great performance
By Kelvin Hunt
Jarrian Jones
Jarrian Jones is a player who went from the dog house with many FSU football fans in his first three seasons to a beloved player in his final season. Injuries hampered his ability to successfully contribute in the first few seasons, but he closed out the 2022 season strong and was one of the main reasons many guys decided to return for the 2023 season. Jones had an outstanding 2023 season. He received a Shrine Bowl invitation and showed out there.
Jones has solid size at 6'0" and 192 pounds. He doesn't have great arm length, and some teams may hold that against him. However, he plays with solid physicality and can play in the slot or in press-man. He will do well in interviews with teams and is a team player. His play against some solid NFL-caliber wide receivers was excellent, but teams will want to see him run a solid forty times. Most mock drafts have him as a fourth-round selection, but if he can run anything below a 4.5? I could see that helping his stock a ton.
