2. WR MALIK BENSON

As we mentioned before, ultra-talented playmakers Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson are off to the NFL. College football sees players enter the transfer portal, graduate, and enter the NFL Draft all of the time. Florida State football just needs to find a way to retool its rotation.

The coaching staff decided to bring in Alabama senior wide receiver Malik Benson. Florida State's coaching staff was recruiting him heavily when he was rated as the number one JUCO wide receiver at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. However, he elected to sign with Alabama the first time around.

After a forgettable 2023 season with the Crimson Tide where Benson recorded 162 yards and one touchdown, he decided to take his talents to Tallahassee.

While it is a lot to ask for a playmaker who has not put up much production, the Seminoles are looking for Benson to be the number-one receiving option for quarterback DJ Uiagalelei. If the former Alabama transfer can find a way to utilize his blazing speed in the open field, the sky is the limit for him in this offense.
