PASS RUSHER!!! 4-star DE LaJesse Harrold commits to Florida State
Florida State football came into Friday morning as the 25th-best recruiting class in the 2025 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite. The Seminoles had a terrible 2024 campaign that most individuals want to wipe from their memory.
The season happened, and Florida State wants to flush it down the toilet. During a recent media session, head football coach Mike Norvell projected that the fix for the program to become very good again would be quick.
One method of changing the results overnight is acquiring talent via the transfer portal and recruiting ranks. Norvell was known for picking up talented transfers. As we learned this past season, the Seminoles cannot afford to waste resources on transfers that have not been asked to do much at their previous stops.
Overall, this is a pivotal time for the university. Most individuals understand that this is not the standard at Florida State. The Seminoles are used to a top-ten recruiting class, but this is something that Florida State never wants to be in again.
On Friday afternoon, Florida State did not receive great news from three-star wide receiver Teddy Hoffmann as he elected to sign with North Carolina State. As for four-star defensive end Tylon Lee, he decided to commit to Florida State, which was massive for the Seminoles.
Florida State could not afford to go 1/3 on the day as the Seminoles look to finish the recruiting class up strong. The Seminoles picked up a commitment from four-star defensive end LaJesse Harrold from Gaither High School in Tampa, Florida.
This is a massive pickup as the Seminoles lure him away from the LSU Tigers. The coaching staff has not done a good job recruiting the Tampa area. He is listed at 6'5" and 215 pounds, and will be a great piece to the Seminoles defensive line for years to come.
Harrold created pressure during his senior season at Gaither High School, recording 42 tackles (18 for loss) and 8.5 sacks. The talented pass rusher made his presence known.
