FSU FOOTBALL

Florida State football beat Alabama on Saturday night by a score of 31-17. I know that the Seminoles want to focus on East Texas A&M and not lose their edge and motivation.

It happened in 2021 after they lost a close one to Notre Dame in overtime, and then ended up losing heartbreakingly to FCS opponent Jacksonville State. You could even look at the 2022 campaign, where Florida State started the season where they beat LSU, Louisville, and Boston College, but then they lost three straight games to Wake Forest, NC State, and Clemson.

Head football coach Mike Norvell and this staff have this squad locked into every matchup week by week. The fan base has been through some PTSD over the years. You can reminisce about the Swag Surf incident when the Seminoles' black-out game against Virginia Tech, and were getting hype with the song in pre-game before getting blown out by a score of 24-3 at home.

SOULJA BOY

The Seminoles learned from their Swag Surf mistake in 2018 and waited to celebrate with a song after the game was decided. The Soulja Boy selection was played during the Two Minute Warning after Florida State football got a huge stop versus Alabama.

This is something that had to be a breath of fresh air for the Seminoles to get back to being a winning product on the football field. It is nice to see that the football gods were being generous in allowing Florida State to be successful.

The Soulja Boy song was released back in 2007, but the Seminoles are still enjoying it eighteen years later after the massive victory. This team deserves this!
