FSU FOOTBALL SEASON OPENER
Florida State football opens its 2025 season versus the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, August 30th at 3:30 PM EST in the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium on ABC. The Seminoles have a loaded laundry list of expectations after falling short in 2024 with a 2-10 record.
Head football coach Mike Norvell made a ton of important changes this offseason, which included forty-four transfers and newcomers, as well as six new coaches. That had to be difficult for Coach Norvell to swallow his pride and understand that the hardships of the changes were for the betterment of the program.
2025 becomes a year where some fans might even wonder if Coach Norvell is the right person for the job. I am not in the business of speculating on other people's job security. I just bleed Garnet and Gold and let the rest take care of itself.
FSU LOGO WAR
However, there have been individuals on social media who have been vocal about the restaurant "Cracker Barrel" changing its logo. The new logo was viewed as too "plain" and "simplistic".

Backlash from fans can cause companies to revert to their old ways. I know that they aren't the same, but I wonder why Florida State never reverted to its old logo. The Seminoles' logo that was used from 1990 to 2013 was iconic. I saw this post a few days ago from Noles2060 on Twitter (X) highlighting the topic.

It is still Garnet and Gold (even though Nike tried their best to make it look purple). I couldn't stomach myself as a fan if I had to wear a putrid color like orange. Let's not forget the Nike uniforms that they tried to drop for the 2014 season opener versus Oklahoma State. I am not saying that the uniforms and logo look bad now, but it did take some time for me to get used to them.
The Cracker Barrel logo argument on social media seems to have died down, but the Seminoles' logo war needs to come to the forefront.
