FSU FOOTBALL 2024 SEASON
The Florida State Seminoles had a difficult time competing during the 2024 season as they limped to the finish line with a 2-10 record. It became apparent after the Georgia Tech loss in Dublin, Ireland, that it would be a struggle for the remainder of the year.
It was disappointing because the team had high expectations for what it could be. Head football coach Mike Norvell was even calling it one of the fastest teams that he has coached and mentioned do-it-all Darius Washington as an "All-American" (which I believe the injury ruined that chance).
HUMBLE OFFSEASON
When you finish with such a disaster, you have to look yourself in the mirror and realize what went wrong. Sometimes, we get so caught up in doing things our way instead of changing ourselves for the better.
Norvell had to reflect on himself in the 2024 offseason, where he went out and added forty-four transfers and recruits to the roster, then acquired six new assistant coaches to the staff to guide these players.
This couldn't have been easy, but Norvell went to ACC Kickoff on Wednesday afternoon to address the outlook of the 2025 season. Individuals want to focus on the Alabama season opener as well as how they will respond back from the 2-10 season.
The head football coach explained that this squad is determined and more prepared for the adverse situations that have been in their way. It was not easy in 2024, where fans saw the team crumble under pressure when it became crunch time.
Maybe I am buying into the Kool-Aid, but I can't help but get excited when the Seminoles have proven offensive and defensive coordinators, a dual-threat quarterback, an experienced offensive line, a physical defense, and a secondary that has impressed.
