LEGACY FLIPPING TO TALLAHASSEE

Florida State's coaching staff has several talented prospects on campus this weekend for official visits. One notable prospect that could be in play for the Seminoles is Class of 2026 Auburn four-star wide receiver commit Devin Carter.

The name should sound familiar to the Seminoles' fan base as he is the son of former Florida State running back Dexter Carter. The younger Carter was previously committed to the Seminoles, but he decided to back off of his pledge.

I can't say that I blame Devin Carter because Florida State had a 2-10 record in 2024, and even some of the fan base gave up on the Seminoles. As it stands, this is a prime opportunity for the program to flip a talented pass catcher from an SEC team.

TIME FOR TIM HARRIS JR. TO DO SOMETHING

Florida State football decided to fire assistant coaches on the staff this offseason. One of those individuals is wide receivers coach Ron Dugans. I know that Dugans played for the Seminoles, but Coach Norvell stated that the development at the position, as well as the recruiting prowess, did not meet the program's standard.

As a result, the program added former UCF wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr. to be its position coach. Some outsiders stated Harris Jr. was known as a good recruiter. However, we have not seen that come to fruition yet.

The Seminoles have two wide receiver prospects committed in the fold with four-star Efrem White and Darryon Williams. White is being heavily pursued by Notre Dame, while Williams is deciding between Florida State and Florida.

The coaching staff needs to find a way to finish the job with Carter due to the uncertainty with the commits.
