LB IZAYIA WILLIAMS
Florida State has a ton of quality recruits in their class. There are doubters out there that think head football coach Mike Norvell only knows how to acquire transfers in the portal. However, the 2025 and 2026 classes could be great reminders that high school talent succeeds in Tallahassee, too.
Coach Norvell spoke to the media on the Friday after the Early Signing Period happened and one recruit that he was excited that signed with Florida State was four-star linebacker Izayia Williams from Tavares, Florida.
The linebacker prospect had flipped several times during his recruitment process, and when Williams pledged to the Seminoles, there were individuals that thought it would be just a matter of time before he flipped his services again.
However, the defender stayed true to his word. With the new addition of Syracuse's Nick Williams to be the defensive ends coach at Florida State, it could be likely that linebackers coach John Papuchis could be next in the coaching carousel.
Williams is dealing with a knee injury and potentially a new position coach, the odds are stacked against him. However, he has the talent to still be successful as a freshman.
