Mike Norvell thinks that these pass catchers could be back against Stanford

This would be huge for the Seminoles' offense.

FSU FOOTBALL

Florida State football lost to Pittsburgh by a score of 34-31 on Saturday afternoon, where the Seminoles have now dropped three straight conference games. The adversity will continue to hit, as the program has to play Stanford this weekend on the road.

This isn't to say that the Cardinal are a phenomenal squad because they only have two victories on the year. However, Florida State needs to find a way to string together productive performances on the offensive and defensive sides of the football.

Head football coach Mike Norvell is starting to get questioned by the fan base, and the firing of James Franklin at Penn State makes fans wonder what will happen with Norvell at Florida State after the 2-10 record in 2024 and now a 3-3 start in 2025.

MISSING PLAYMAKERS IN ACTION

The defense is getting talked about enough, with Tony White's unit not performing up to the standard. However, the offense has been inconsistent at times as well.

The Seminoles did not have some of its important playmakers on the field this past Saturday, where Florida State had Duce Robinson (in-game injury), Squirrel White, Jayvan Boggs, and Randy Pittman Jr. out with injuries.

There were talented pass catchers that they have on their depth chart, such as Tae'Shaun Gelsey, Teriq Mallory, and Elijah Moore. However, they are still youngsters who need to learn. Nonetheless, there were some encouraging updates about playmakers Duce Robinson and Randy Pittman Jr.

Coach Norvell spoke to the media on Monday afternoon, where he mentioned that there is hope that Duce Robinson plays this Saturday. Then he mentioned on Inside Seminole Football on Monday night that he feels confident that tight end Randy Pittman Jr. will play on Saturday night.
