Mike Norvell believes in the 2025 Seminoles. There's no question about that.
Over the past several weeks, from the League meetings to his loud proclamations during his press conference at ACC Media Days, Norvell has been trying to sell the nation on a bounce-back season for the Seminoles.
The message is being heard, but, as the coaches' polls show/, there remains a wait-and-see caution when it comes to what kind of product FSU will place on the field. That's understandable. You just can't go 2-10 and be like 'hey we're really good now' without someone being a little skeptical.
Still, Norvell solders on and this week on the Seminole Sports Network podcast, he continues his message on the energy that the newcomers to the program have brought.

"I think they've brought a great edge to what we've asked them to do," Norvell said. "You talk about newcomers, you talk about guys that have come back. Throughout the offseason, we talked a lot about what that expectation was going to be for anybody that wanted to be a part of this team."

This has been Norvell's consistent message. He believes this team is different because the players have taken more leadership roles and are holding each other accountable. It speaks heavily to the issues that he believes kept last season's team from accomplishing much. The players, whether they are new roster guys, or holdovers in the program, all have to want it as much as Norvell does.
We love hearing the message. We've heard it for weeks and most of the fan base has bought in to it. But they still want to see it in action and August 30 is the date where we'll see if the message is delivered or if it just fell on deaf ears.
