FSU FOOTBALL LOST

Florida State lost to Stanford on Saturday night by a score of 20-13. This is an embarrassing turn of events for the Seminoles, after it has gone downhill ever since the program was snubbed from the College Football Playoffs.

Athletics Director Michael Alford has a big decision to make today, and it comes with a $58 million buyout of head football coach Mike Norvell. The Seminoles have fallen to 5-15 in their last 20 games, and it seems like individuals are through with the Mike Norvell experience (don't think I blame them).

This is Florida State, and the standard should always be competing for conference and national championships. However, at this rate, I don't even know if the Seminoles are a bowl team right now, and that is with everyone on the schedule spiraling out of control.

MICAHI DANZY PERFORMANCE

To be honest, if/when Norvell gets fired from Florida State, I wonder which players and recruits will stick around with the Seminoles. This era of college football is centered around NIL and the transfer portal. The program brought in 44 newcomers via the portal/recruiting rankings.

However, some talented players returned from last year's roster, such as wide receiver Micahi Danzy. The speedster made the position change in the offseason from running back to wide receiver. Some fans didn't know how it would translate and thought that he would be a gadget piece.

With that said, the Tallahassee native is more than just a "gadget piece", as he recorded three receptions for 106 yards in the loss to Stanford. The incredible 53-yard reception by Danzy in triple coverage, which got Florida State's offense down to the 9-yard line, will be forgotten by most individuals, but it goes to show you how talented he really is as a pass catcher.

Micahi Danzy now has three 100-yard performances this season, and his talent looks to be wasted in Tallahassee. If/when there is a new coaching staff at Florida State, I hope that the Seminoles can keep him in the fold. These are sad times associated with Florida State football right now...
