It has been a tale of two programs in 2024. Miami and FSU were expected to compete for the ACC and a College Football Playoff spot. Both teams were among the top 25, but only one team has matched expectations, and that's the Miami Hurricanes. Though aided by one of the softest schedules through seven games, the Hurricanes are undefeated at 7-0 and ranked No. 6. FSU has been the total opposite with a 1-6 record and continuously finds ways to lose games every week.

The two teams will match up this weekend in primetime, and Miami is a massive betting favorite on DraftKings at -19.5. The over/under point total isn't out yet, but it'll likely be high because Miami's offense can score, and their defense gives up a lot of points. However, FSU's offense is among the worst nationally, only averaging 15 points per game.

It's a home game for the Hurricanes, and I'm sure their fans who never come to games will be out in full force since they finally have a realistic chance to beat the Noles for the first time since the 2020 season.

Although Miami is a massive favorite, rivalry games can get crazy sometimes. FSU's defense isn't great, but it's not terrible either. I know some FSU fans believe Miami will cover the spread easily, but FSU was a -17.5 betting underdog against Clemson and covered that spread. Clemson is a better overall team than Miami right now because their defense is better, and they can score points. FSU is the only defense besides Georgia to hold them under 40 points (they scored 29).

Will FSU come out and fight? I have no reason to believe they won't since they haven't given up thus far. It would be a major deal if FSU somehow knocked off Miami. The odds are low, but we've seen crazier things happen.
