Would be a massive addition

One of the issues hindering the FSU offense over the past decade has been its offensive line. The Noles have not had an offensive lineman drafted since the 2018 NFL Draft.

FSU offensive line coach Herb Hand has done a solid job attempting to clean up the unit he inherited from the previous coach.

FSU signed four offensive linemen from the high school ranks(two blue-chip players) in December and added four transfers in the Winter transfer portal window. FSU added two more offensive linemen with multiple years of eligibility in the Spring transfer portal window.

It's safe to say Hand is looking to put his stamp on that unit sooner than later, and his track record carries more weight than the previous coach since he has a reputation for developing offensive linemen.

It's one reason the FSU made the final five top schools list for a major blue-chip offensive line target, Samuel Roseborough. He is the No. 130 player and No. 7 interior offensive lineman nationally, and the No. 16 player in Florida.

The competition to land him is steep, as none of them are close to coming off of a two-win season and they have had offensive linemen drafted recently. However, FSU is the only in-state school on the list and Hand can tout he's developed players and gotten guys to the NFL in the past.

FSU has Roseborough scheduled for an official visit on the weekend of May 30th. He has official visits set for Texas A&M on June 5 and Texas on June 30th. He'll likely take official visits to the other two schools in his top five.

FSU will get their shot to make their pitch first, and FSU got him on campus twice this spring, which is a positive. I'm not sure when he plans to make a decision, but this 2025 season will likely impact whatever he decides to do regarding FSU.

He would be a massive haul if he picked the Noles over these other four programs. FSU has shown that they can win recruiting battles for elite kids when they wants to. Kevin Wynn and Ousmane Kromah come to mind in the last recruiting cycle. We'll see how it shakes out, but it's good to be in the mix for a big-time player.
