FSU WINS

Florida State football is finally back in the win column again, as it defeated the Wake Forest Demon Deacons by a score of 42-7 on Saturday night in Doak Campbell Stadium. It had been over 400 days for the proud program to finally win a conference game.

This is the time that the Seminoles need to get on a winning streak, especially against a Clemson Tigers squad that just lost to Duke by a score of 46-45. This couldn't set up more nicely for Florida State, as it looks to change the perception of the program.

Regardless of how the fan base feels about head football coach Mike Norvell, it looks like the administration is trying to find to make everything work out. This is the reality that the Seminoles are 6-16 in its last 22 games. That isn't acceptable, but they are trying to turn things around.

RECRUITING SETS THE FOUNDATION

One of the biggest downfalls for Coach Norvell has been high school recruiting. In today's landscape of college football, there are several teams that try to get into the transfer portal (sorry Dabo Swinney), but it almost seemed like Florida State exclusively went for it instead of developing the talent that they had on the roster.

Nonetheless, the Seminoles are seeing with their 2025 recruiting class that it is possible to rely on homegrown talent. With that said, they have to continue sticking talent on top of each other.

Florida State received great news on Monday afternoon, as Class of 2026 three-star safety/linebacker Daylen Green from Gadsden County High School in Havana, Florida, has flipped his commitment from Arkansas to Florida State.

The versatile defender is from a nearby school, and it was thought that Green was trending to Florida State over the summer before choosing to pledge to Arkansas. However, all is right in the recruiting world as the prospect is deciding to stay closer to home.

Now, fans just need Arkansas true freshman linebacker Tavion Wallace to transfer to Florida State this offseason, and everything will be right with the revenge with the Razorbacks.
