Florida State football finished with the 20th-best recruiting cycle in the 2025 cycle, as the new coaching staff made good impressions after the program went 2-10 from a season ago.
While I know that Florida State should always be a high-selling pitch for prospects via the recruiting ranks and transfer portal, I realize that the Seminoles had the disappointment from 2024 that could sour a few individual's perception on what head football coach Mike Norvell is trying to build there.
While I believe in Coach Norvell, I understand that I am a die-hard fan who just wants to see the program great again soon. The recruiting class has some great pieces, such as four-star running back Ousmane Kromah, four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, four-star defensive tackle Kevin Wynn, and four-star defensive end LaJesse Harrold (among many others).
One name that I know people won't think about much is three-star cornerback Antonio Cromartie Jr. from Carrollton, Georgia. He is the son of the great four-time NFL Pro-Bowl cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who previously played with the Seminoles.
The younger Cromartie has had a long road in his body's development as he is listed at 5'10" and 175 pounds. His father even mentioned that he is still growing in his frame, which is exciting for his future development.
The NCAA recently had an update where teams could now have a 105-man scholarship limit instead of the traditional 85-man scholarship limit. This ultimately allowed the program to bring him in.
Antonio Cromartie Jr. expressed his excitement on his social media, where he is counting down the days before he enrolls with the Seminoles. I cannot help but be excited for him and his family to allow his lifelong dreams of playing at Florida State to come true.
It is certainly a moment that will last a lifetime with the Cromartie family.
