Jared Verse is a bad man...but Aaron Donald is the baddest man.

Verse, the 2024 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, wanted to test himself by working out with the now-retired Donald, and he quickly regretted it. We saw snippets of that early in the offseason on both Verse's and Donald's social media.

But now with camp in session, Verge is spilling all the details, and it's as crazy (and hilarious) as you imagined.

"We go to the weight room, it's like eight different circuits, all arms, four sets each. I'm inthere for an hour and a half," Verse said. "His wife came in laughing at me. I told her to call the police. I'm not even joking, I'm dead serious."

Verse continues with the story and admits he tried to make up a story about his mom being at his house and that he needed to let her in. Of course, it didn't work.

World-class athletes push themselves hard by nature. The work ethic is part of the DNA that makes them the best in their respective sport. But Aaron Donald isn't just a world-class athlete, he's some sort of human cyborg football wrecking machine.

As funny as this story is, it also shows her serious Verse is about being great. He wants to learn from the best defensive player of this era and emulate his process. It can be humbling, but Verse is smart enough to take the lessons learned and use it for motivation.

Verse also said something that should strike fear in every offensive lineman - Donald made him realize he wasn't working hard enough. That's right, the top defensive rookie in the NFL is ready to level up thanks to working out with the top defensive lineman of this century.

"It was insane to see that's the level it takes to be in the discussions of best defensive player ever or best player ever," Verse said "So that's the level I have to reach on a consecutive basis. That's what I'm striving for now."
