Florida State football is looking for more talented players to add to its roster. The Seminoles had a disappointing 2024 campaign that finished with a 2-10 record. Head football coach Mike Norvell mentioned that there would be big changes this offseason.

Norvell ended up firing a couple of assistant coaches on staff and hiring coaches that made fans think that Florida State should be renamed to the "Knights" or the "Cornhuskers". Regardless of the funny puns, I believe that this will be a much-improved team from last year because of the talent that has been brought in.

The approach to the 2025 transfer portal class has been important since they are not solely basing it on potential in high school. They want to add proven production at a collegiate level.

We discussed in a recent article that North Carolina redshirt freshman linebacker transfer Caleb LaVallee is visiting campus in early January. LaVallee was someone that I was a huge fan of during the 2023 recruiting cycle, as he was very productive in high school.

The Seminoles have capable linebackers in the position unit such as Blake Nichelson, Omar Graham Jr., Justin Cryer, Stefon Thompson, Timir Hickman-Collins, and Ethan Pritchard. However, with former defensive ends coach John Papuchis stepping into the role of linebackers coach, he will need some fresh talent there.

Noles247's Brendan Sonnone put in a prediction in favor of Florida State for North Carolina redshirt freshman linebacker transfer Caleb LaVallee. The youngster had nine tackles in the bowl game loss to UConn. In the contest, he was all over the field where he was going sideline to sideline.

I believe that this is the only visit that LaVallee has scheduled, so Florida State is looking good in this recruitment. They need to secure his services during the trip.
