Florida State football has been hosting several 2027 and 2028 high school recruits lately on campus. The Seminoles need to generate momentum with the youngsters after the product on the field has not been where they want it to be.

Florida State's 2026 recruiting class was viewed as "solid" and finished in the top-20, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. However, the expectation at a place that wants to compete for championships is top-10.

Florida State has tried to get prospects into their Junior Day to tour the campus, but the coaching staff has not had much success with obtaining talent.

The fan base wants the homegrown talent to stay home, but oftentimes, those prospects decide to go elsewhere. It makes individuals mad that they end up at programs like Georgia and competing for the College Football Playoff.

Nonetheless, Florida State has put a ton of resources into the program for it to have a total of seven wins over the past two seasons. Fans would think that they focus on getting prospects from the state of Florida and South Georgia.

Class of 2028 defensive back prospect Kahmaree Crumity from Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida, conducted a visit this weekend. He gave an interesting perspective on what the football-only facility looks like and what transpires during a visit in his recent YouTube video.

It is great to see how the recruiting process works with the Seminoles. Even though he is a hometown 2028 prospect that is still a ways away from signing to the school of his choice, it is still a cool experience that is documented.
