FSU FOOTBALL STRUGGLES
Florida State football lost to Stanford on Saturday by a score of 20-13 on the road. This was an embarrassing result that the fan base was frustrated about the standard was not being met.
This is understandable, as the Seminoles have been on the verge of having four losing seasons over the last six years. That is unheard of at a place like Florida State. This has caused individuals to believe that head football coach Mike Norvell could be fired.
This is not a situation where I am advocating for him to be relieved of his duties, but he knows that this is not the result that should be happening in Tallahassee. The administration mentioned on Monday that they are fully committed to helping Norvell and the 2025 Seminoles strongly rebound in the coming weeks.
PRIME TIME COMING HOME?
There isn't a guarantee that Florida State can rebound. They have Wake Forest coming to town after this bye week, and then go on the road to face Clemson in the following game. This could be a difficult stretch for a squad that is 1-11 in its last 12 ACC games.
The home game against the Demon Deacons could be trouble for Norvell, as there could be a possibility that you hear boos throughout the stadium when his name gets announced. I get the frustrated about the stretch of losses, but it is still better than cheering for those pesky Hurricanes and Gators.
Nonetheless, fans will want a new voice at the helm. Someone who will always come up in conversation is current Colorado head football coach Deion Sanders.
I said Florida state shoulda hired Deion Sanders straight from Jackson State. They absolutely need to hire him now pic.twitter.com/bwQoQjsVCv

Sanders was an All-American defensive back who will be remembered for a lifetime for his impact on the gridiron with the Seminoles. However, Prime Time has felt disrespected by Florida State not giving him an opportunity to be the head football coach.
This is something that I understand, since he didn't have much experience at the time that he was being considered. Florida State now needs a boost of energy after its recent decade of struggles. On the flip side, there are health concerns that Sanders is dealing with that could prohibit him from coming to Florida State.
Is it time for Deion to come home?
