DOAK CAMPBELL STADIUM

Florida State football has undergone renovations to the home side of Doak Campbell Stadium for about a year and a half now. The fan base has expressed displeasure over the reduction in stadium capacity from 79,000 to possibly around 70,000.

While they would be adding more comfort, some individuals have had season tickets in those seats for years and are now being asked to pay an insane price or move to another section. This has fans furious because they preferred a bleacher and could decide later whether to add a chairback or not.

I am not hating on the Champions Club located in the end zone, but logistically, it looks empty on TV because the fans are sitting inside the AC/shaded portion instead of being in the actual seating.

This is what fans think will happen with the new home section that they are constructing. Seminole Boosters made a Twitter (X) post highlighting that chairbacks were being put in this week for the renovated side.

FANS CHIME IN WITH THEIR OPINIONS

The fan base is ruthless on Twitter (X), and you could hear the skepticism in the replies to this post. Let's highlight a few of them.

MY THOUGHTS

It is safe to say that fans were not a fan of this seating option. I get that individuals take a while to get over change, but this seems to be something that the fan base will be furious with for a long time. I wouldn't be surprised to see the admin make the same change to the visitors' side as well.

In my opinion, I get comfort from certain individuals, but I don't care if I sit on a bleacher. I just want to see the Seminoles successful on the football field and winning games. It will not impact my seating as I am on the visitors' side this year for season tickets, but I am curious to see how the fan base responds after a few games.
