OUT OF THE ORDINARY TWEET
There are a couple of coaches on Florida State football's staff who use social media to attract recruits, such as Terrance Knighton, Herb Hand, and Tim Harris Jr.
However, one assistant coach who doesn't use social media as often is defensive coordinator Tony White. With that said, Coach White decided to utilize his account to express the excitement that he has for the Seminoles' 2026 recruiting class.

I know that coaches cannot directly discuss recruitments until they sign with the university because it can be a recruiting violation. However, fans cannot help but get excited about the potential of what Coach White is talking about on social media.
WHAT COULD THIS MEAN FOR FSU RECRUITING?
The Seminoles are in need of recruiting momentum with the program's 2026 recruiting class sitting on the outside of the top-30, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. The arch-rival Florida Gators are gaining steam with all of their recent commitments.
Don't get me wrong, head football coach Billy Napier and the Gators could be in deep trouble for the 2025 season since they have a difficult schedule (just like they did last year), but you never want your arch-rival to stack up on high school talent for the future foundation of their program.
Defensive coordinator Tony White could be referring to anyone when it comes to recruits who are visiting the Seminoles' campus this weekend.
WHO IS COACH WHITE TALKING ABOUT?
In terms of a highly-touted defender, Coach White could be discussing five-star cornerback Chauncey Kennon, four-star defensive end Jamarion Matthews (Alabama commit), four-star cornerback CJ Bronaugh (Nebraska commit), four-star defensive tackle Tico Crittendon, four-star defensive end James Carrington, or three-star linebacker Noah LaVallee.
With that said, I would be most thrilled about Florida State getting four-star defensive end Jamarion Matthews from his pledge with the Crimson Tide. Matthews is someone in the trenches who had 57 tackles (29 for loss) and 17 sacks during his junior season.
I am prioritizing elite talent on the offensive and defensive trenches for the Seminoles' 2026 recruiting class.
