FSU DEFENSIVE LINE

Florida State football won't have the pressure of legendary head football coach Nick Saban saying that the program has one of the best defensive lines in the country. Unfortunately, many media members won't be knocking down the door to rave about the Seminoles after the 2-10 record last year.

However, the Seminoles added forty-four new players to their roster and acquired six new coaches for the staff. There seems to be new life in the program.

Head football coach Mike Norvell appears to have confidence in his team's ability to succeed. He likes the true freshman that he has on the roster. I expect a number of those youngsters to play during the 2025 season for the Seminoles.

DT KEVIN WYNN

True freshman defensive tackle Kevin "Juju" Wynn has been someone that the coaching staff has raved about this offseason to potentially get some serious playing time in 2025.

Given the position of defensive tackle, the Seminoles have some talented pieces that could make a difference, such as Darrell Jackson Jr., Daniel Lyons, Deante McCray, KJ Sampson, Tyeland Coleman, Tylon Lee, Jamorie Flagg, and Jayson Jenkins.

Defensive coordinator Tony White called Jackson Jr. "the best defensive tackle in the country", but the talented defender is listed at 6'5" and 337 pounds; he won't be able to hold the majority of the opportunities at his size. He will need a break.

This is where I believe Wynn comes into play. During his senior season of high school, Wynn recorded 68 tackles (27 for loss), seven sacks, one interception, and three blocked kicks. When you turn on the film, the talented defensive tackle looks like a WWE superstar with as many body slams as he performed on opposing ball carriers.

I know that the Georgia native is just a true freshman, but it is important to play the youngsters if they make your team better.
