I fully understand that there will be eyes locked on the Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. This will be something that many individuals will be watching.

However, it should be noted that Florida State women's basketball team has a big matchup versus No. 14 ranked North Carolina State on the CW Network at 2:00 PM EST.

The Seminoles are sitting with a 19-4 overall record (9-2 in conference), while North Carolina State is 18-4 (10-1 in conference). It is a battle of the heavyweights as Florida State has won six straight and the Wolfpack have won seven in a row.

It is time to give this women's basketball team the credit that they deserve. They are led by Ta'Niya Latson, who has 26.2 points per game (leads the country in points per game). Then, Mikayla Timpson does all of the dirty work, with 17.3 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.

This is a perfect opportunity for the Lady Seminoles to put their mark on the year with an eye-opening victory. It helps that they are playing at home. Florida State has a 12-0 home record this year. While I know that the No. 3 ranked Notre Dame squad is the talk of the conference, you can never count out the Seminoles when Latson has the basketball in her hands.

Be sure to add attending the Seminoles' women's basketball team to your Super Bowl game day agenda. They will need your help in what could give them confidence as they inch closer and closer to the NCAA Tournament.
